Support Engineer

Job Description – Apple Support Engineer – Full Time Primary Job

Responsibilities:

  • Provide computer and software support and training, virus removal or other cleanup services.
  • Provide remote support or onsite support to residential and business customers.
  • Field incoming support calls.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot Mac, Network, Printer and Software issues on a variety of platforms.
  • Provide solutions-based consults and sales for business and pro customers.
  • Deploy new computers, networks, security systems and other customer solutions on-site in a timely and professional manner.
  • Initiate, document, and update our Service Repair Order (SRO) system.
  • Provide maintenance and update via MDM and Remote maintenance software for business and pro customers
  • Address support requests based on a work queue system.
  • Communicate with customers regularly.
  • Maintain a clean work area at the end of the day.

Required Skills:

  • Mac OS and iOS experience
  • Responsive, attentive to detail, and able to communicate effectively.
  • Desire to work within a team, and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to stay current on best solutions
  • Self-Driven, able to learn new skills and hardware sometimes with minimal guidance.
  • Must have own transportation and be willing to work occasionally on nights and weekends
  • Must be able to self-manage projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to work on ladders and in cramped spaces.

 

Highly Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience performing Apple support.
  • Apple Certifications.
  • Experience with Ethernet/Wireless networks, including advanced routing.
  • Remote and on-site support capabilities.
